Hey All, just a note of thanks for all the answers to my previous questions. The bike has been running pretty flawlessly and I'm sure you will be happy to hear that no one is alone with their Savage problems. My headlight rattles like crazy also, as does the speedometer casing, it backfires upon deceleration etc.Glad to know I'm not alone with these "quirks". Now a couple more questions. 1.) Does anyone know if there were any significant changes made to the bike upon it's reintroduction in 95? other than the 5th gear? 2.)Where is the best place for parts???!! I have heard a couple of complaints already about J.C.Whitney but I can't rely on the dealer because they don't stock ANY Savage parts (not even an air filter for cryin' out loud) and believe me I need parts. 3.) Does anyone know the best place to acquire an aftermarket tachometer? 4.) Finally, are the 3rd and 4th ratios really that close? on my 86 when I make that shift above 45 it always feels like I downshifted not what I'd expect going in to 4th. Oh some of you may have to dig way back in the memory banks for this one but do you remember the feeling you had the 1st time you hit 60mph on a bike? MUCH different than I'd expected. How in the hell do people hit 120 and not get blown off? Must be cuz they're laying down. Thanks again, you guys are a godsend.
